Events that the PTA are supporting

Community / Whānau Hui - Thursday 20th June, 6-7pm
For this event, the PTA are supporting the school to organise the food for dinner and will be there on the night to help out and meet the community.

Matariki Hāngī - Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th July
Before the day, we will help the school source the rocks, irons and baskets needed for the hāngī. As many of us as possible will be at school on the 3rd to help make the stuffing, prepare the meat and get the food that the children have prepared to the Discovery Centre kitchens.  We will then be back at school on the 4th to help serve the kai.  We will also help to get as many other whānau and community members involved as possible.

We are a group of Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles and Grandparents whose children attend Māngere East Primary School. We volunteer our time to run and help out with events and fundraising for the school.

Being part of the PTA is a very rewarding experience and your contribution makes such a difference to your child’s school life.

We have a very hard-working team of PTA members but we always welcome more helping hands, so please seriously consider joining, even if for just a few hours. We'd love to see new members and being part of the PTA often produces many long-lasting friendships.

Please contact Rose in the office (09 2764689) for more information or keep an eye on our Facebook page, or speak to your child’s teacher about joining the PTA team.
