Learning Support Coordinators (2 Positions)

These two LSC positions are to serve the Whakatipu Akoranga Kāhui Ako, comprising 6 schools in Māngere.  These schools have large Pacific populations.  The successful applicants will be based at Māngere East Primary School.  The purpose of the LSC is to support our children with diverse learning needs to have access to the support and services they need, in ways that recognise their identity, language and culture.

The successful applicants will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders: staff, students and whānau, other LSCs within our Kāhui Ako and external agencies, to achieve this. They will need to be passionate about inclusive practices and have demonstrated the ability to support the learning and progress of all learners as they transition in, through and out of our schools.

LSC Position 1 - to meet all the criteria of the LSC role description but with expertise in Special Education and Curriculum Level 1.

LSC Position 2 - to meet all the criteria of the LSC role description but with expertise in Special Education and Gifted & Talented.

Position commences Term 4, 2020 (negotiable).
