Kaiāwhina - Learning Assistant (Fixed-Term, Part-Time, Term 4 2020)

We have a position for a Kaiāwhina to join our recently opened Māori Bilingual Unit, Te Poho o Rāwhiti.  We are looking for a Kaiāwhina who will be able to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues, tamariki and whānau. Fluency in te reo Māori is essential.  The ability to support kaiako to integrate ICT and be innovative, within a Māori kaupapa, would be an advantage.  Please state specific strengths and experiences in your application.

Hours will be  9:00-1pm, Monday 12th October to Thursday 17th December 2020 (4 days per week), 14 hours 40 minutes per week, inclusive of 1 x 10 minute paid break each day.
Due to the morning tea schedules, you will incur one 30 minute a day, unpaid break. Any annual leave accrued will be paid as Holiday Pay (8%). Pay rates can be found in the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement below. 

Any variation to these conditions will be advised in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Collective Agreement.
