Assistant Caretaker / Groundsperson
Māngere East Primary School is a large, urban full-primary (Y0-8) school located in South Auckland, within close proximity to the South Western motorway. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Assistant Caretaker / Groundsperson.
Position Purpose:
To assist the Caretaker in maintaining the school buildings and grounds so they are clean, tidy and safe for all.
Ordering hygiene supplies and ensuring stock is available at all times.

To be physically mobile and fit
Cleaning and / or gardening experience

Confident ICT skills - Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar).
Systematic approach to achieving tasks and meeting deadlines
Able to follow the school’s policies and procedures
Current First Aid knowledge and Drivers Licence

Employment Agreement: School Caretakers', Cleaners' and Canteen Staff Collective Agreement
Hours of Work: Part-time, permanent position - 20 hours per week, term time only.
Term Time - 1–5pm daily. Monday to Friday, on-site.
If any aspect of the job description needs to be outsourced, the hours will be reduced accordingly.
Rest Break - 10 minute paid rest break (pm).
Holidays - Holidays are taken when the school is closed. Holiday pay is paid at the end of the school year.
Remuneration: To be negotiated based on experience, but will be at minimum the Living Wage of $22.75 per hour.
Reporting: The Assistant Caretaker / Groundsperson reports to the Administration & Office Manager.
