Kaiāwhina - Learning Assistant (Fixed-Term, Special Project, Term 2 2025, Part-Time)
We are looking for a Kaiāwhina / Learning Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team.
Purpose of the position
To support a specific student (or students) to transition well into school, & actively and positively engage in learning and social opportunities at school.
To implement programmes planned by kaiako for individuals or groups of ākonga, including resource-making.
To contribute in any other way to ensure that ākonga experience high quality programmes in a safe and caring environment.
To support the kaiako to build strong home-school learning partnerships with whānau.
To support the educational philosophy and model the values of the school.

Requirements for the role:
Relevant experience and attributes in relation to points 1-5 above.
Be of good character - acts professionally and has a good work history. A strong record of work attendance and punctuality is essential for the role.

Hours of Work:
Hours are 3-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, Term 2 only.
Pay
The starting pay rate is TBC. Annual leave accrued will be paid as Holiday Pay (8%).
