SUPPORT TEACHERS
Karen Bouwer
Kia ora, my name is Karen and I am originally from South Africa and moved to this beautiful country earlier this year and loving every bit of this stunning place we get to call home now.
I am married to the love of my life and we have a fun-loving, bubbly child who enjoys every part of this new adventure with us. After graduating I was very fortunate to travel to the UK, America and later Canada.
Traveling is such a big part of both my husband and my life. We love embracing the different cultures and learning so much from others. We try and explore and travel as much as we can.
I have been working within many diverse learning fields working with children with various needs since 2013. I have been fortunate enough to have worked as a classroom teacher, learning support teacher and a play therapist. I prefer working as a learning support teacher as I truly have a passion for helping children in need and helping them

I firmly believe that our tamariki will benefit a lot in learning music and the arts. They will not only learn to play musical instruments and music theory but music also supports our students to be patient, disciplined, kind and builds their confidence through performances. I do not only nurture my students' musical skills but also improve and develop their character so they can be good citizens in our society.
