OFFICE MANAGER - NO CURRENT VACANCY
Māngere East Primary School is a large, urban full-primary (Y0-8) school located in South Auckland, within close proximity to the South Western motorway. We are looking for an energetic person to fill the position of Office Assistant.
Position Purpose:
To effectively lead our school’s office and grounds team so that our students, staff, Board of Trustees, community and visitors receive a high-quality service.
To complete all administrative tasks to a high standard - Office Management, Finance & Payroll, Human Resourcing, Property & Health & Safety, Reporting to the Board of Trustees.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
Able to build and maintain positive relationships
Excellent communication skills - oral and written
Accurate data entry skills, touch typing at least at 40 wpm
Accounting (preferably using Xero), preparing and monitoring budgets and payroll administration
Confident ICT skills - Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Drive, Calendar), Microsoft Apps (Word, Spreadsheets)
A systematic approach to achieving tasks and meeting deadlines
Able to follow the school’s policies and procedures
Current First Aid knowledge and Drivers Licence
School-based work experience preferred but not essential.

Employment Agreement: Support Staff in Schools' Collective Agreement.
Hours of Work: Full-time position - 52 weeks, 40 hours per week (overtime inclusive).
Term Time - 7:30am – 4pm daily, Monday to Friday.
If any aspect of the job description needs to be outsourced, the hours/pay will be reduced accordingly.
Rest Breaks - One 30 minute unpaid lunch break and one 20 minute paid break (am) / or two 10 minute breaks (am & pm).
Annual Leave & Term Breaks - Holidays consist of four weeks’ annual leave in addition to public holidays, taken when the school is closed (or more if eligible in the Collective Agreement). Flexible hours are worked from home and on-site during term breaks as agreed in advance with the principal.
An annual leave plan for the year is drafted and discussed with the principal. Any ‘saving’ of annual leave days to be taken in the following year must be approved by the principal at that time. Any changes during the year can be negotiated.
Remuneration: As per the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Administration Grade D, Step to be negotiated.
Reporting: The Administration & Office Manager reports directly to the Principal.
